Cords and more Cords
I'm always looking for new techniques and found one recently. It allows me to make cords fairly easily and with many different materials. Many different materials can be a challenge sometimes.
I started with C-Lon, the material I use for beaded Kumihimo. It is very thin so I wasn't surprised when the results were thin also. (Haven't come up with a use for them yet)
Then I tried some thicker fiber in green and some half inch wide blue ribbon. I found some pendants to match. Still learning how to make the cords look uniform.
Here are some in different colors. Fortunately, I have a lot of fiber cords in different colors.
Being on a roll, I tried a multi-color ribbon and some very different blue fiber cords. I don't have any pendants to match these. But may find some at a later time or try them just the way they are ????
Now some of these cords look like the Kumihimo ones I make. (The first green one for example) But these take much less time and less material. However, I'm still evaluating the results.
Here are two Kumihimo cords. Can you tell the difference? (I know it is hard to see in the pictures.)
I'd appreciate any feed back. Favorite colors, pendants, or just different cords. I'll keep making some but your opinions are very helpful.
Until next time,
