I guess it is not a secret that I like to make Chain Maille pieces. I know many different weave/patterns and I'm always looking for something new to change things up a bit.
I've been following a group of other Chain Maille designers on Facebook and have seen some amazing pieces. One, by Paula Greenwood, named Sunburst caught my eye. She has kits with various metal mixtures. Copper and silver for example. But one caught my eye, Rainbow, and I ordered the material.
How cool is that? I have it listed on the website.
I continued my quest for something new and found some cute butterflies. Now, while it is not really Chain Maille as such, it does include some rings and linking them in a pattern.
It took some manipulating on my part to put together. It involves some spacial maneuvering. Something I've always caused me problems. (Remember the cake?) If you can turn it several ways, I'll find a different way.
I've finally made three (two to go) and I think I'm getting the hang of it. You can see two that I need to work on to get them in the proper orientation. I have listed the purple one on the website. Others will follow as I finish them.
Do you like the new creations?? Let me know.
Until next time,
