I have lived in the Easton, MA area for over 35 years. I learned the love of making jewelry from my parents who worked together to make lovely handcrafted jewelry.
After leaving my inside sales/customer service position at a local electronics company, I continued in my parent’s footsteps. Since then I have learned many new techniques and enjoy making many types of jewelry. However, Chain Maille is my favorite with Kumihimo being next plus making simple necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
Chain Maille requires patience and dexterity but the results are fantastic and when made with precious metals, can be an heirloom for you and your family. My preference is to use Argentium Sterling Silver for that reason. See "Everything you wanted to know about Chain Maille" for more information.
Kumihimo is a Japanese form of braid making, another favorite technique. All kinds of bracelets and necklaces can be made – plain or with beads. See "Everything you wanted to know about Kumihimo" for more information.
In addition to designing jewelry, I have taught Chain Maille and Kumihimo at a local bead shop Beadcache in Mansfield, MA at the Easton Shovel Town Cultural District Art Gallery/Co-op and in my home.
I love to use my skills in silver jewelry and other types of jewelry, designing jewelry the way my customers would like. Special requests are always welcome. I specifically love to make "Jewelry that Matters"
